Black Bubbles Pearl Necklace

Round, glossy black pearls gathered so close together they look like bubbles, which is how this necklace got its name. The strand has rhythm, weight and a bit of play in it. They have slightly bluish tone that makes them even more amazing. 

Black pearls are the opposite of shy. Wear this one against bare skin or a black dress and it does all the talking. A statement black pearl necklace for evenings, and for the days you decide are evenings.

How to love your pearls

Pearls aren't like diamonds. They're soft, they're organic, and they love being worn. Here's how I look after mine:

• Last on, first off. Perfume, hairspray and body oil first, then pearls. Take them off before the shower, the sea, the pool or the gym.
• A slow wipe at night. When they come off, run a soft cloth over them. The one you use for your glasses is perfect. It takes ten seconds and keeps the glow.
• Give them their own space. Keep them in a soft pouch or wrapped in silk, away from gold, diamonds and anything that could scratch them. Never in a plastic bag. Pearls like to breathe.
• Wear them often. Pearls left in a drawer go dull. Pearls that are worn stay warm and luminous. So don't save them for special occasions. Wear them on Tuesdays.
