Tiny Blue and Black Pearl Necklace

Smoky blue and deep black tiny pearls with a cool lustre, finished with a silver clasp. Look closely and you'll see peacock tones in each pearl: green, blue and a hint of violet.

Darker and more mysterious than a white strand, but just as easy to wear. Perfect on its own, beautiful layered. A tiny dark pearl necklace for every day.

How to love your pearls

Pearls aren't like diamonds. They're soft, they're organic, and they love being worn. Here's how I look after mine:

• Last on, first off. Perfume, hairspray and body oil first, then pearls. Take them off before the shower, the sea, the pool or the gym.
• A slow wipe at night. When they come off, run a soft cloth over them. The one you use for your glasses is perfect. It takes ten seconds and keeps the glow.
• Give them their own space. Keep them in a soft pouch or wrapped in silk, away from gold, diamonds and anything that could scratch them. Never in a plastic bag. Pearls like to breathe.
• Wear them often. Pearls left in a drawer go dull. Pearls that are worn stay warm and luminous. So don't save them for special occasions. Wear them on Tuesdays.
