Near-Round White Pearl Necklace

White pearls that are almost round, but not quite. That small imperfection is what gives them life: each one catches the light a little differently.

The classic pearl necklace, softer and more modern. Wear it with a crisp shirt, a little black dress, or nothing much at all.

How to love your pearls

Pearls aren't like diamonds. They're soft, they're organic, and they love being worn. Here's how I look after mine:

• Last on, first off. Perfume, hairspray and body oil first, then pearls. Take them off before the shower, the sea, the pool or the gym.
• A slow wipe at night. When they come off, run a soft cloth over them. The one you use for your glasses is perfect. It takes ten seconds and keeps the glow.
• Give them their own space. Keep them in a soft pouch or wrapped in silk, away from gold, diamonds and anything that could scratch them. Never in a plastic bag. Pearls like to breathe.
• Wear them often. Pearls left in a drawer go dull. Pearls that are worn stay warm and luminous. So don't save them for special occasions. Wear them on Tuesdays.
